Lightweight Textile Fiber for Fashion

High Performance, Non-Wood Cellulose Fiber. Altfibr feels like a cross between cotton and linen- with a lower carbon footprint.

Lightweight Fiber Tech for Fashion & Mobility

Altfibr’s Lightweight Textile Fibers are made by purifying our NWKP (Non-Wood Kraft Pulp) into cellulose solution. This solution is extruded by spinnerets into fibers, which are stretched, washed, dried and cut to desired lengths, delivering lightweight strength, softness, and spinnability for fashion applications.

Developed from a combination of high-yield feedstocks like seaweed, banana stems and pineapple leaves, these fibers offer a serious alternative to cotton and polyester—with radically lower water use and carbon footprint. They drop into existing spinning lines with no retooling and produce materials that are breathable, durable, and fully biodegradable. Whether you’re designing next-gen apparel or automotive interiors, Altfibr lets you meet performance targets and sustainability goals at the same time.
